Museum accessibility can mean removing architectural or environmental barriers by having designated barrier-free entrances and accessible parking available with wheelchairs available, elevators on every floor, accessible toilets, and assistive listening devices as well as Braille notices.

It can also mean special tours that are inclusive and give consideration to specific needs of visitors, such as being able to touch exhibits for the visually impaired or having signers for audio tours.

This can also include the web accessibility of the museum websites.
